Mad Kids Summer Camp
Each year the Madera Police Officers’ Association welcomes an opportunity to sponsor the City of Madera Parks Summer Camp Programs. The MADKIDS program is a week long Summer Camp for kids 4th – 6th grades.
The Madera Police Officers’ Foundation’s mission is to empower and uplift young people and families by providing financial support for youth in academics, sports and music. Additionally, we provide essential resources to families during the holiday seasons. We are dedicated to fostering personal growth, community engagement, and academic achievement, ensuring the youth have access to the opportunities they need to thrive. Through compassionate giving and collaboration, we strive to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

The OLIVE program (Overcoming Limitations through Intervention Value and Empowerment) is an anti human-trafficking program started at the MPD. The MPOA Board started the program and the MPOA supports this program financially.

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide information that will help promote law enforcement safety.

The California Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation whose mission is to recognize and honor California’s peace officers who gave their lives “In The Line of Duty” serving the citizens of this great state, and provide support to the family members left behind.

As the largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle for Special Olympics, the Law Enforcement Torch Run® raised over US$42.6 million in 2012. Since its inception in 1981, it has grown extensively worldwide with over 97,000 volunteers spanning 46 countries, and raising more than US$461 million for the Special Olympics movement.

The Madera Police Officers’ Association is 71 members strong. The objective of this association is to assist in promoting the professionalism of the police service; to represent the members of the association in all matters of wages, hours and conditions of employment; to encourage among the members a closer personal acquaintance and a friendly spirit of mutual cooperation; to encourage, contribute to and wherever possible, and to assist in all matters pertaining to welfare and advancement of all members of the Madera Police Officers Association.
