Kayla was born and raised in the Central Valley and grew up playing soccer, softball, and collegiate rugby. Kayla attended Fresno State where she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Criminology and a Minor in Psychology. Shortly after graduating, she attended the Fresno City Police Academy and began her career with the Madera Police Department in 2017. Kayla has worked patrol, investigations, and currently a Corporal for the Patrol Division. She has been the MPD Explorer Coordinator since 2019, and first started her role with the MPOA as the Political Action Committee Chairwoman. Kayla now serves as the MPOA Secretary on the Executive Board.
