Transitioning to the Future Grid in MA Event Series - March 28

Join us for this series to build off the GMAC process and create a dialog around methods to ensure the proposed grid transition is optimized for efficiency in implementation and costs!

NECEC will convene stakeholders from across the MA energy ecosystem, including public and private sector leaders, communities, EDCs, technology providers, including entrepreneurs, and academics to hold a dialog on the next set of barriers and potential solutions. In addition, we will discuss the best way to maintain a continuous dialog and information exchange between the EDCs and grid users (businesses, developers, municipalities, and State officials).
This series proposes to cover strategies for an efficient grid transition, including:

1) Supporting the expanded planning horizon being developed in the ESMPs, including increasing data and information flow in grid planning between EDCs and grid users
2) Maximizing the utilization of grid infrastructure, such as by developing supportive policy and planning around DERs, grid-enhancing technologies (GETs), and winter ratings.

Room To Grow: Creating Space for Climate Tech - April 9

Join us for an event focused on fostering the growth of climate economy businesses. This in-person gathering will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 2:30 PM in partnership with Rise73. Food & refreshments will be provided during the networking portion of this event.

Climatetech companies are growing rapidly. As they grow, they need places where they can manufacture their technology and change the world. This process can be complex as they have to navigate the process of finding a space and then getting all of the necessary approvals and permits to build out and occupy the space. They are partnering in this process with many different parts of a municipal government that is trying to navigate complex and changing codes. In our event, we’ll be exploring how to make this process work better for everyone so climatetech companies can deliver the technology we need to change the world.
